MARTIN ADAM   (a.k.a. ADAMARTY)

Here are a few examples of my work across the years encompassing the recording, production and re-mixing of music, audio-visual editing and filmmaking. It all began in 1970 working as road manager for the band ´Heads Hands & Feet´ with whom I toured throughout the UK, Europe and the USA before starting my career as a recording engineer in London from the early days of stereo and 4 track recording and beyond! Working with many diverse artists at a time when the music scene in London was really buzzing!  I became a freelance engineer & producer in the late 70´s and worked in many of London´s top recording facilities and residential studios including the renowned Tittenhurst Park.  Throughout the 80´s I worked in the USA, UK and Japan on many varied projects and in 1990 started working intensively in Japan with a number of established Japanese recording artists producing albums, videos and live concerts.

In 2003 I created the Maja Festival, a multi-cultural music event staged in Felanitx, Mallorca to benefit the International Red Cross. Whilst enjoying life here on the beautiful island of Mallorca, I have been embracing new technologies and not surprisingly combined my audio and visual interests by creating short films and re-editing older ones. More recently I have become involved with the growing film industry here, working on feature films and commercials whilst also continuing music production with the James Lascelles Quartet project. Variety is the spice of life!
